I practiced and practiced

and then i stepped off into the deep end.

I questioned myself and reconsidered several times.
Even as i started i told myself...
you can always pull the thread out.

I kept going

I'm still not sure if i like it
but i think i'll keep going.

  6. I often feel unsure about how a quilting effort is looking. When it's all finished and bound, though, I often feel good about my efforts. Yours is looking fabulous! Keep going!

  14. I have been doing FMQ for a few years now, and though not an authority on the subject- I think I know good looking quilting when I see it, and for your first attempt it is really very good- don't rip it out, keep it and come back to it to see how much better you have gotten a year from now- it is great to have these things to compare and remember the journey of learning fmq!

  15. I started my FMQ on cat mats and lap mats until I got the hang of it. I never used any other method than tying before then, but I'm so glad I did go for it... though I'm still unsure about the circles... but soon - You've inspired me to try it.
